John W. Aldridge, Ph.D.
I currently live in Boulder, Colorado, however, my work has brought me into diverse learning communities throughout North America, Asia and Europe. My professional experience spans business, education, the arts, and community service. My formal education has involved a blend of traditional and non-traditional studies, integrating a true “learningl-spirit.” My life’s work exemplifies that spirit through collaborative learning, values-based leadership and knowledge sharing where competitive advantage is characterized not only by return on investment, but also, ethical conduct and a commitment to personal and social responsibility. |

Background & Experience:
I develop business 2.0 communications technologies for improving learning
and performance, online and on-site, and serve as a senior consultant
for small to mid-sized startup, development-stage
and multinational organizations representing a blend of diverse business sectors including entertainment,
financial, telecommunications, transportation, medical, technical, service
and educational endeavors. I also have served on several for-profit
and nonprofit boards. I am an member of the American Psychological
Association (APA), and other international professional organizations
contributing my knowledge and expertise to the field of disciplined
inquiry. I have tacit “explicit” experience with current theories
and practices surrounding instructional design, blended learning
applications and OD, OE and HR technologies. I also have implicit
understanding of where the field is headed and why. My passion is
coaching business leaders who I would classify as belonging to progressive
organizations that are in transition. These executives work for
companies small and large, from $50 million to over several billion,
and their employees are co-located all over the world.
I have a solid and versatile background in integrating multidimensional evaluation processes with technological advances in leadership/organizational development, strategic planning, and business results-focused coaching with full understanding of complex organizational dynamics, work/family issues, etc. I have over fifteen years experience developing people for maximum performance. I practice what I teach. I view my role within the organization as that of a researcher/practitioner applying theory to practice and sharing my knowledge with my peers to bring out the best in the individual and the institution. I received my undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder and Regis University in Denver where I studied cognitive psychology and Industrial Psychology/Organizational Management. I have a second MA in Organizational Development and a Ph.D. in Human & Organizational Systems from the Fielding Institute at Santa Barbara, California.
